I dislike The Get Into You era more than Love and Kisses (This is It aside).
With her debut I allow this was her music style, Get Into You goes off in a tangent and feels like a road that leads to nowhere. |

If you really, really goes nowhere her voice is all over the place, I've had a few songs playing in the background from the album, I used to love some of the almighty remixes on some Kylie singles and get into you could do with that type of remixing on a few of the songs. The album is like it fits no category, it's a bit of r n b and pop but misses the boat on both.

Listening to the remix cd from the deluxe edition for the first time properly now... I'll admit, Love's On Every Corner 12" sort of slaps on a proper stereo system.

Oh I really like the Hustlers Convention Disco Mix of Get Into You - it makes a good job of transforming it into a club track.

^^ The deluxe version is quite good with all the additional remixes - I’m pleased they even bothered to reissue expanded editions of her albums tbh.

Looking through some of these comments about 'Love's On Every Corner' & YES it was given an awful release date in a very over-crowded week that had 22 new entries & Dannii was only the 11th highest that week & just look at what's in the charts at that time with songs by so many legendary artists Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Rod Stewart, Heaven 17, Cliff Richard, Madonna, Take That, Freddie Mercury, Simply Red, U2, Diana Ross, Boyz II Men, Guns N' Roses, Gloria Estefan, Prince, R.E.M. & even Kylie herself are all higher than her. So she didn't stand a chance, now if the song was released a month before then it could have stood a better chance, but looking at the top 40 for just that week...well you can see for yourself =

Terrible time to release plus that top 40 is full of some brilliant songs that dannii stood no chance with. It doesn't help that most of the songs were also far better aswell. Love the Dina Caroll reminder on that chart, loved her debut album stuff. I wonder was dannii top 40 in the midweeks that week ?

It’s never stood a chance with a December release - MCA should have realised that releasing Dannii material at Christmas didn’t work for them previously when the final single from Love & Kisses, ‘I Don’t Wanna Take This Pain’ stalled at #40 the previous December.
It was career suicide fro them to think it was a good idea especially following on from 2 underperforming releases - if they had just waited a few weeks and gone with a January release it could have been a mid sized hit This post has been edited by ___∆___: 2nd May 2020, 03:49 PM |

The record company thought they record would climb up the charts . Most songs did not peak first week back then.
I agree tho December was not the time for this !! |

44 NE DANNII MINOGUE - LOVE'S ON EVER CORNER Living in Germany MTV's Hitlist UK was the best opportunity to get UK Top 40. They always played one new song that didn't reach top 40. I rememeber how shocked I was when LOEC was played in that section, meaning it missed top 40. |

A big disappointment if a Top 40 placement was expected.
It is a low quality song that charted in a fair position. |

If they had released any other week it would have been Top 40 And if they had waited a few weeks until January it would have easily been Top 20 I’m sure - the first of a few mistakes from MCA with Dannii. |

A multitude of mistakes occured during this period.
MCA were lost in their management of the material. |

I think a listening party for all albums by both sisters could be conducted in the forum over the coming weeks/months.
